On March 7th, 2025, Encarna Postigo Pinazo, EURAS Patient Board representative and member of FEDERAS, participated in the 11th Interdisciplinary Conference entitled “From pain to greatness. Building bridges of hope together.” The event highlighted the spirit of overcoming challenges and fostering collaboration within patient and caregiver communities.

During the conference, Encarna Postigo Pinazo presented the research conducted by the European EURAS consortium, which includes the University of Málaga. Her presentation emphasized the essential role of patients and families in driving initiatives that promote fundamental research on rare diseases, aiming to improve the quality of life for affected individuals.

Researchers attending the event were encouraged to collaborate on future EURAS project initiatives and to share experiences within a network designed to optimize efforts and increase visibility.

The conference was organized by the Institute of Biomedical Research of Málaga (IBIMA-BIONAND Platform), led by researchers Raquel Yahyaoui Macías and Juan Antonio García Ranea, the latter also involved in the EURAS project at the University of Málaga.
